This year our tennis club will be rallying behind the Tennis Ireland’s “Tennis4cancer” campaign 19h – 21st April.

Cancer has affected many of our lives in many different ways and as important as the fundraising is, it is also so important that we come together as a club to show our combined support and celebrate life!

The Friday night mixed social will run as scheduled. All players on Fri/Sat are asked to wear a colour to represent the cancer campaign of their choice (pink/purple etc.). There will be a €5 registration fee for each event. There will be collection buckets and also QR codes on display so people can donate as they wish.

Saturday the 20th of April will be an all- day event:

  • Mixed Beginners & Improvers Social 9.30 – 11.00
  • Men’s social 13.00 – 14.30
  • Ladies’ social 14.30– 18.00 (The Pauline Fitzpatrick Memorial Cup)

The Ladies Social will be held in honour of our friend Pauline Fitzpatrick and we will hold the inaugural “Pauline Fitzpatrick Memorial Cup” social competition. This is a team competition and the players will be matched to their levels on the day. We encourage as many players as possible to sign up.

Evening Celebration at the Club House from 19.00

ALL members are encouraged to come together for our evening celebration whether or not you have played during the day. Please do bring your partners and friends also so we can round up this worthwhile fundraiser and celebrate our friend Pauline. Pauline’s sister will be there to present the cup to the winning team.

There will be an optional meal, a raffle and our very own Aine & Tony will be providing the music.

The cost of the meal is €20 and the sign up is via Ace Book. There will be different registration options for the evening event for partners etc (the meal is included in the Ladies’ Social event registration).
